A native of Fort Wayne, IN, I am a 2000 graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, where I earned a BFA centered in Printmaking. I relocated to Syracuse in 2004, drawn by the natural beauty of Central New York, where I quickly discovered a diverse and welcoming art community. Happily, my full time employment at Commercial Art Supply has introduced me to many opportunities to share my creative interests as a teaching artist, and fostered involvement with organizations and programs such as Say Yes To Education, The Near West Side Initiative, and The Community Folk Art Center. In addition to community involvement, I have recently co-initiated a process oriented, general needs therapeutic arts service called pARTners, geared toward helping individuals in the Syracuse area achieve goals in personal, creative expression.
